چکیده
Abstract Background Research interest in plant essential oils has increased significantly due to their natural properties and consumer demand for safer methods of food preservation. Plants produce large amounts secondary metabolites, which have potential activity against fungal pathogens. This study aimed at screening antifungal effects on citrus Penicillium digitatum , morphological effect finally determine are the most effective. Results The EC 50 seven selected cinnamon (0.424 μL/mL), patchouli (0.513 vetiver (0.612 dill (1.597 origanum (1.971 μL/mL) ylang (2.214 was determined. In addition, substantially reduced sporulation (100%) followed by (86.02%), (82.73%), chamomile (79.04%), respectively. Our GC–MS result determined variance concentration compound composition. total composition all > 1% found be 3 cinnamon, 5 dill, 10 origanum, 13 ylang, 11 patchouli, 9 16 vetiver. Addition altered morphology scanning electron cryomicroscopy. Patchouli showed broken hyphae while there an indication severe deformation collapse spores chamomile. Conclusion Based our findings, we report that these could potentially applicable controlling P. with concern human health, environmental contamination possibly replacement synthetic treatments. متن کاملA Damaged Oxidative Phosphorylation Mechanism Is Involved in the Antifungal Activity of Citral against Penicillium digitatum
Citral exhibits strong antifungal activity against Penicillium digitatum. In this study, 41 over-expressed and 84 repressed proteins in P. digitatum after 1.0 μL/mL of citral exposure for 30 min were identified by the iTRAQ technique. The proteins were closely related with oxidative phosphorylation, the TCA cycle and RNA transport. The mitochondrial complex I, complex II, complex III, complex I...

Background: Essential oils are very complex mixtures of compounds with variety of biological properties Objective: In the present study, the effect of Cumin (Cuminum cyminum), Sage (Salvia officinalis), Basil (Ocimum basilicum) essential oil at 250, 500, 750 and 1000 µL.L-1 and Thyme essential oil at 30, 60, 120, 250µL.L-1 on growth of Botrytis cinerea was investigated in in vitro condition. ...
متن کاملUVA Photoactivation of Harmol Enhances Its Antifungal Activity against the Phytopathogens Penicillium digitatum and Botrytis cinerea
Phytopathogenic fungi responsible for post-harvest diseases on fruit and vegetables cause important economic losses. We have previously reported that harmol (1-methyl-9H-pyrido[3,4-b]indol-7-ol) is active against the causal agents of green and gray molds Penicillium digitatum and Botrytis cinerea, respectively. Here, antifungal activity of harmol was characterized in terms of pH dependency and ...
